Grand Marina Village by Warmington Residential California has that rare combination of amenities and location that takes you away from the grind and into the ‘ahh.’ A waterfront setting, a variety of boats bobbing in the estuary, three neighborhood parks, and a friendly small-town feel all contribute to the “get away from it all” ambiance that makes this new home community so special.
Set on the island of Alameda, Grand Marina Village actually is just a quick drive or ferry ride away from Oakland, San Francisco and the Silicon Valley for work or play. From this centralized location, it is easy to enjoy an amazing lifestyle opportunity while remaining close to these major employment hubs.
The historic island of Alameda is home to a quaint downtown and is known for its small town vibe, revitalized shopping districts and restaurants on Park Street and Webster Street, and its general walkability. This fact, and its slower pace and excellent schools, is attracting new buyers in ever increasing numbers. A high quality of life and more affordable home prices are big reasons for the appeal overall and for many, the chance to live in a waterfront community so close to the city is an opportunity that is simply too good to pass up.
Further contributing to the appeal of Grand Marina Village are prices that begin from the mid-$600,000’s and range up to the lower-$700,000’s.
The models and sales office are located at 1629 Cruiser Lane in Alameda and are open daily until 6 p.m. (GPS Address is 2043 Grand Street)

Backed by a 28-Year Career in Residential Homebuilding, Anderson Will Manage Sales Functions and Marketing Efforts for the San Ramon-Based Division of the 85-Year-Old Homebuilder
Joanne D. Anderson, a long-time real estate industry veteran, has joined Warmington Residential California’s Northern California division as the company’s new Vice President of Marketing.
The announcement was made by division president, Gregory Mix, who said that Anderson will be instrumental in the homebuilding firm’s future success as it expands its presence in Northern California and acquires new land, opens additional neighborhoods throughout the region, and offers more homes for sale.
Anderson, who joined Warmington in February 2011, was previously employed by Shea Homes Northern California as vice president of sales and marketing. “It is Joanne’s vast expertise and long history in both sales and marketing in the residential homebuilding sector that drew us to her,” Mix said.
“We believe strongly that she will be a great asset to our group and we are very pleased that she is now a part of our team. We are actively engaged in growing our presence throughout the Bay Area and are aggressively seeking new opportunities. Joanne’s presence will not only assist us in making key decisions during this acquisition effort, but will also play a key role in our success going forward with new deals.”
At Warmington, her primary responsibilities include directing and managing the marketing strategies for new communities in the Northern California division, overseeing the sales process and staff, model merchandising, advertising, as well as performing marketing research and assisting with due diligence, among others.

Professional memberships include the Home Builder Association of Northern California, SMC Sales and Marketing Council, and the National Home Builder Association. Accreditations include MIRM, Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing (NAHB).
Currently, Warmington’s Northern California division is selling new homes at Grand Marina Village in Alameda and has two additional communities slated to open this year: Mahogany Lane in Davis and Willhaggin Terrace in Sacramento.
The Northern California division of The Warmington Group has been a local presence in San Ramon for more than 30 years. Its offices are located at 2400 Camino Ramon, Suite 234, San Ramon, CA 94583. Warmington’s corporate headquarters are in Costa Mesa, CA.
The Warmington group of companies currently has 13 new home communities in various stages of development and/or construction, including more than 600 fee-managed single-family homes and several apartment complexes with nearly 1,000 for-rent residential units, in locations throughout California and Nevada.
The group, which began as a builder of custom homes in 1926, and is well known for crafting beautiful residential neighborhoods, now also offers a full spectrum of real estate management and development services. This includes project analysis, asset protection, property management, and entitlement processing as well as planning, building, selling and servicing new residential production homes, condominiums and apartments.
